Job summary

A leading company in Singapore seeks a Project Manager with a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and manage projects to ensure key milestones are met within schedule.

  • Develop and maintain master project schedules, monitoring progress against defined milestones.

  • Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of project activities.

  • Oversee responsibilities across functions to keep project milestones on track.

  • Organize and lead Factory Acceptance Tests with customers and distributors.

  • Ensure all project documentation is reviewed, agreed upon, and finalized for delivery.

  • Schedule and coordinate on-site testing, ensuring a seamless handover to the aftermarket team.

  • Provide first-level technical support throughout project execution.

  • Assist with project feasibility studies and cost estimation for project management activities.

  • Submit monthly project status reports to identify and address key issues or concerns.

  • Support submittals by providing engineering input for 3rd-party product and drawings.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution processes.

  • Collaborate with interplant associates on deliveries, factory tests, and documentation.

  • Work closely with the scheduler, customer service, and production teams to update project status during weekly meetings.

  • Attend site meetings with contractors and consultants, as required.

  • Manage site installations, ensuring timely completion.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors on installation work, material approvals, and drawing submissions.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

  • Min 2-3 years of experience in project management in the power equipment industry - generator / UPS / switchgear and similar industry.

  • Excellent ability of organization and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Good communication and written skills in English.
