Job description

Centre 42 is seeking a Communications Executive who will be responsible for assisting in the planning and development of the Centre’s marketing communications and public relations activities, and overseeing development and implementation of support materials and services for programmes in the area of marketing, communications and public relations.

He/She/They will participate in the planning and execution of the Centre's core programmes and will also share duties in events and office facilities management.

Principle Accountabilities

Assists the Centre's General Manager in:

  1. Planning comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations programmes that will enhance the Centre’s image and position within the industry and the general public;
  2. Ensuring articulation and communication of the Centre’s desired image and position, to all constituencies, both internal and external;
  3. Ensuring that the Centre’s philosophy, mission and vision are pertinent and practiced throughout the Centre;
  4. Implementing and measuring the success of all Centre marketing, communications and public relations activities and materials including publications, media relations, client acquisition.

Responsible for:

  1. Planning and managing the Centre’s public communications calendar in accordance with the Centre’s programmes;
  2. Maintaining digital channels/social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, LinkedIn) and ensuring timely dissemination of communication materials;
  3. Copywriting and creating the Centre’s publications including brochures, publicity collaterals/assets, media releases, website content, and e-Newsletters;
  4. Collaborating with the Documentation Executive to ensure key programmes are well documented through interviews, observations, commentaries, transcriptions, and research gathering;
  5. Managing agencies and freelancers for design, copywriting, and digital resources;
  6. Coordinating media interest and maintaining contact with target media, responding to media requests;
  7. Conducting media monitoring and coverage analysis;
  8. Staying informed of developments in communications, public relations, not-for-profit management, and Centre-specific business to foster innovation.

Other duties

  1. Sharing responsibilities in office and facilities management, including administrative support, visitor reception, correspondence, documentation, event planning, and budget management;
  2. Assisting in managing interns and volunteers;
  3. Ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures for a safe and healthy workspace;
  4. Participating in programme and event planning and execution;
  5. Managing budgets and timelines when leading projects or programmes.
