We are seeking experienced technical translators to localize software and related content into Indonesian. Our localization team values highly motivated individuals with a blend of technical, creative, organizational, and communication skills to provide precise technical translations and adaptations. Fluency and translation experience in Indonesian are essential. The environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to manage workload with daring delivery schedules. Responsibilities include improving localization workflows, investigating internationalization issues, promoting standard processes for localization-friendly content, and driving content improvements. Strong communication, collaboration skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities are crucial. This role is well-suited for technical translators with localization experience, working within an exciting, supportive team, collaborating with other localization, engineering, and QA teams, and gaining insights into Apple’s development process.

Description

• Translate Apple products into Indonesian.
• Use internal tools to identify localization impacts.
• Monitor, report, and resolve bugs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely processes.
• Maintain terminology consistency across all Apple products and services for the Indonesian market.
• Assist with quick-turnaround translations.
• Identify tools and process enhancements.
• Use unreleased software to verify localization quality.
• Maintain style guides and language glossaries.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation, Culture & Literature, or equivalent.
• Native or accredited fluency in Indonesian for the Indonesia-speaking market.
• Fluent in English for translation between English and Indonesian.
• Experience with CAT tools and UI translation for high-end software products.
• Excellent writing, partnership, and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive vocabulary, literacy, and cross-cultural knowledge.
• Current and sustained exposure to Indonesian culture.
• Understanding of multilingual and multicultural issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing language-specific style guides and glossaries.
• Experience in localization and internationalization.
• Strong UX writing skills and experience.
• Experience localizing Apple content.
• Deep knowledge of language structure (syntax, semantics, phonology, phonetics).
• Experience with natural language processing and computational linguistics.
• Knowledge of programming languages.
• Localization project management experience.
• QA experience.
