The Position:

Now, we are looking for an Research Assistant - Operations & Procurement to join our dynamic team to play an important role in ensuring seamless operations, enabling our team to push the boundaries of science and innovation. This position is ideal for candidates who have strong organizational skills, experience in procurement and lab operations, and a keen interest for supporting scientific and medical advancements in longevity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management, while ensuring compliance with institutional policies.
  • Manage budgeting and financial processes related to procurement and operational expenses.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring efficient stock levels and proper storage.
  • Assist in lab safety and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with NUS Office of Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE) regulations.
  • Support the development and refinement of operational workflows and standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Support daily operations, logistics, and administrative tasks to keep our initiatives running smoothly.
  • Assist in event planning and execution, contributing to the success of workshops, conferences, and other initiatives.
  • Provide occasional support for basic wet lab experiments (e.g., cell culture, western blot, ELISA, etc.).
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in procurement, finance, or administrative operations

• Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., iProcurement, Concur, SAP) strongly preferred

• Strong motivation, initiative, and ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Good communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders

• Capable to work in high paced environment

• Interest for the field of healthy longevity
