VP - Cards Product Lead - Institutional Banking Group

Business Function
Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial and investment banking products and services, including cash management, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans, foreign exchange, and advisory services such as mergers & acquisitions and equity and debt capital markets. DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its regional customers based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development, and rigorous credit standards.

About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cards Product Lead to drive growth and development of our Commercial Cards business within the Institutional Banking segment. The role requires a deep understanding of corporate card solutions, payments ecosystems, and client needs. The candidate will develop and execute strategies to enhance our cards proposition, drive portfolio growth, and improve customer experience across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Strategy & Development
    • Implement a regional commercial cards strategy aligned with the bank's objectives.
    • Develop innovative card products and payment solutions for working capital, expense management, and cash flow optimization.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance product features, digital capabilities, and user experience.
  2. Portfolio & Revenue Growth
    • Develop pricing, interchange, and rebate models to optimize revenue.
    • Leverage partnerships with networks and payment processors for competitive offerings.
  3. Market & Client Engagement
    • Monitor market trends, competition, and regulations to guide product direction.
    • Conduct client workshops and engagement sessions to promote product adoption.
  4. Risk & Compliance Management
    • Ensure products and processes comply with regulations and risk standards across markets.
    • Work with credit risk and operations teams to improve underwriting, fraud prevention, and dispute management.
  5. Technology & Innovation
    • Partner with technology teams to develop digital capabilities.
    • Drive AI, data analytics, and automation initiatives to enhance insights, efficiency, and customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 10+ years in commercial cards, payments, transaction banking, or related financial services.
  • Education: Bachelor's in Business, Finance, or related; MBA preferred.
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of commercial card products, B2B payments, and corporate banking solutions.
  • Skills: Strategic thinking, P&L management, stakeholder engagement, innovation leadership.
  • Regional Exposure: Experience managing multi-market commercial card portfolios is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, analytical, and communication skills.
