Job description

Job Summary

The Land Surveyor/Construction Coordinator's primary responsibilities involve performing precise measurements to determine property boundaries and providing data related to land shape, contour, elevation, or dimensions for engineering and construction purposes. On-site duties include reporting site progression, ordering construction materials, maintaining site facilities, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, daily scheduling and manpower allocation, and issuing work instructions as per project requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations at survey sites, and determine terrain characteristics such as heights, depths, property lines, and other features for construction purposes.
  2. Coordinate survey findings with engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders.
  3. Communicate with trade coordinators, client representatives, and subcontractors regarding construction activities.
  4. Monitor subcontractors' work, including manpower and daily activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards, and adherence to work method statements and regulatory requirements.
  5. Maintain accurate records of completed work to support contractual claims and facilitate payments to subcontractors or suppliers.
  6. Manage site planning through efficient allocation of manpower and materials, including ordering supplies, ensuring materials and equipment meet specifications, and managing wastage.
  7. Execute site work by regularly checking drawings, monitoring work standards, and preparing daily reports for inspections, including reporting non-conformance to the Project Manager.
  8. Participate in internal and external meetings.
  9. Coordinate the handover of completed works to clients after rectification, assist QS in verifying claims, and support tender preparations.
  10. Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Architect, Engineers, and Management.
