Description
Prepare statutory reports with consolidation, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance across entities
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc management reports with variance analysis
Ensure timely and accurate intercompany reconciliations
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions
Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and accounting regulations
Coordinate audits and follow up on recommendations
Prepare/review GST, WHT returns, and corporate tax schedules; liaise with tax consultants
Monitor cash flow and prepare projections for multiple entities and subsidiaries
Review work of Assistant Accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Collaborate with teams to align finance processes with operations
Assist in improving financial systems and setting up process guidelines
Maintain accounting system, including updates, year-end rollover, and SOP finalization
Prepare government statistical reports
Perform other finance tasks as assigned by Head of Finance
Profile
A successful Assistant Finance Manager should have:
Holds a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or Assistant Finance Manager, ideally with exposure to the Southeast Asia region or involvement in process improvement initiatives.
Background in Retail, Hospitality, FMCG, or E-commerce is preferred; alternatively, demonstrates agility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
