Job description

Element has an opportunity for a Associate Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Senior Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and ensures timely and accurate test results under minimal supervision. The engineer must be proficient in core business and technical skills, including compliance with safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies.

Location: Tuas, Singapore
Job Duties:
  1. Responsible for routine mechanical tests such as Tensile, Hardness, Charpy, and Bend Test.
  2. Perform critical fracture mechanics tests such as CTOD, SENT, Rebar Fatigue.
  3. Conduct tests such as G48, ASTM A262, G28, SSC, HIC, etc.
  4. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and resolve urgent requirements.
  5. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
Job Requirements:
  1. Possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ relevant post-degree engineering experience or advanced academic/professional qualifications.
  3. Working knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.
  4. In-depth understanding of testing concepts and familiarity with international and local standards such as ASTM, BS, AWS, ASME, DNV, ABS, and others.
  5. Demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business.
