An established industry player is seeking a Finance Leader to oversee financial operations and reporting. This role involves leading a finance team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving process improvements for operational efficiency. Central region
Key Responsibility:
Financial Leadership & Reporting
Lead and manage the finance department and daily operations
Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to HQ and the Managing Director
Ensure compliance with SFRS, tax regulations, and audit requirements
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to guide business strategy
Oversee intercompany transactions and group consolidation reporting
Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency
Identify and streamline repetitive finance tasks (e.g., AP, AR, month-end closing)
Standardize workflows and ensure proper process documentation
Report quarterly on improvements, issues resolved, and new optimization opportunities
Cash Flow & Forecasting
Monitor large-scale project timelines (S$500K+) to align delivery, billing, and funding
Maintain trackers for COGs, billing forecasts, and operational cash needs
Assess and approve supplier purchases (S$50K+) with non-standard payment terms
Collaborate with Sales and Operations for accurate project-based cash flow planning
Risk Assessment & Payment Term Governance
Review financial viability of projects with low margins (<15%) or deferred paymentterms
Approve all tenders/quotes above S$500K with heavy end-loaded payment structures
Work with Sales to negotiate better payment schedules (e.g., deposits, progress billing)
Identify and mitigate financial risks across customers, suppliers, and projects
Governance & Team Leadership
Ensure strong internal controls and audit readiness
Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
Lead and develop a team of finance professionals (Senior Executive, AP/AR)
Provide ongoing coaching and promote adherence to best practices
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (CPA/CA preferred)
Minimum 5 years’ experience, including 3+ years in a finance leadership role
Proven track record in process improvement and financial risk management
Strong knowledge of accounting software and advanced Excel skills
Project account experience or experience in WIP
