About the Role

As the ESH Section Manager, you will ensure that plant operations fully comply with environmental, safety, and health regulations. You will lead the development and execution of ESH programs, policies, and procedures, while working closely with cross-functional teams and regulatory bodies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

  • Location: Jurong Island, Singapore (Company Transport Provided)
  • Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
  • Salary Range: From SGD 4,600/month (commensurate with relevant ESH experience)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Regulatory Oversight: Oversee safety case activities in line with Major Hazard Installation (MHI) regulations and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Risk Management: Conduct detailed risk assessments and lead incident investigations to prevent recurrence.
  • Periodic Evaluations: Coordinate annual safety audits and health assessments to ensure operational integrity.
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage the ESH budget to ensure cost-effective procurement of equipment and consumables.
  • Process Optimization: Develop, review, and update ESH procedures and SOPs to support continuous improvement.
  • Expense Monitoring: Monitor expenditures and use audit insights to refine procedures and improve efficiency.
  • Regulatory Communication: Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities to support licensing and ensure timely incident reporting.
  • Training Program Implementation: Design and execute internal and external training programs to enhance team capabilities in ESH practices.
  • Team Development: Conduct coaching sessions and performance reviews to promote accountability and continuous improvement.

What They’re Looking For

  • Educational Background: Degree in ESH, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Level C WSH Officer certification, Confined Space/WAH Assessor, and BizSafe Level 2.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a similar role.
  • Skills: Experience in vendor management, ISO system implementation, and communication with government bodies.
