Job summary

A leading organization is seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide advisory and administration support for the tender process. The role involves managing procurement activities, ensuring compliance with policies, and assisting in the implementation of a new ERP system. Candidates should possess a diploma or degree in a relevant field and have at least 3 years of experience. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Job description

  • Provide advisory and administration support and governance to the tender process for internal users
  • Activate timely renewal and award for purchases directly handled by Procurement based on best price and terms
  • Assist with transformational changes for Procurement processes as a Key Team Member in new ERP System
  • Ensure tender process is efficiently conducted and guided by the procurement policies & procedures with governance and compliance within set KPIs
  • Ensure renewals and award for purchases are done in a timely manner so that users of the product or services are not impacted
  • Ensure new ERP system addresses gaps in user experience and improve efficiency for users.
  • Procurement related admin work, vendor creation, stationery store management, liaise with users and vendors for stock in and stock out.
  • Manage the Procurement of common items used by the organisation, from sourcing till goods receiving.
  • Assisting or guiding users on procurement related enquiries, and monthly report generation.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain or Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of procurement system or SAP would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A self-starter with ability to work independently and multi-task
  • A good eye for details and continuous improvement
  • A good team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
