Job description

IT System Management:

  • Oversee and manage all hotel IT systems, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), guest Wi-Fi, Microsoft Office 365 and back-office operations.

  • Ensure all hardware and software function optimally by performing regular system updates and maintenance.

  • Adhere to regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001) and implement appropriate audit controls.

Configure, implement, and optimize ERP solutions tailored to the hospitality industry:

  • Oversee ERP system performance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Develop custom ERP solutions, ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems, and implement compliance tools.

  • Oversee accurate data migration, maintain data integrity, and ensure security across ERP processes.

  • Conduct ERP training programs and provide timely technical and functional support to end-users.

  • Develop ERP-based reports and insights to support decision-making.

  • Ensure ERP systems adhere to regulatory standards (e.g., ISO27001) and implement audit controls.

  • Coordinate with ERP vendors for system updates, enhancements, and issue resolution.

  • Lead ERP implementation and enhancement projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

  • Maintain system documentation, best practices, and promote continuous improvement across teams.

Network & Infrastructure Support:

  • Manage and monitor the hotel’s internal networks, servers, firewall, VPN, and communication systems to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including guest internet connectivity problems, in a timely manner.

Technical Support:

  • Provide on-site technical support for hotel staff and guests, addressing any IT-related issues that arise (e.g., computer malfunctions, printer issues, or network connectivity problems).

  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.

Data Security & Backup:

  • Implement and monitor IT security measures to safeguard the hotel's digital assets, including guest data and internal systems.

  • Ensure regular data backups and establish disaster recovery procedures.

Vendor & Software Management:

  • Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers to maintain and upgrade systems as needed.

  • Manage software licenses, renewals, and compliance to ensure the hotel is fully compliant with industry standards.

Staff Training & Support:

  • Train hotel staff on the proper use of IT systems, tools, and equipment.

  • Provide ongoing IT education and support to ensure staff can effectively use technology for day-to-day operations.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with departments such as Operations, Front Desk, and Housekeeping to ensure seamless integration of technology across hotel operations.

  • Prepare regular reports for senior management of IT performance, system issues and potential improvements.

Innovation & Technology Solutions:

  • Stay current with emerging IT trends, particularly in the hospitality sector, and recommend relevant technologies to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.

  • Evaluate and implement IT solutions to enhance the hotel's technological capabilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT experience, with at least 3 years in the hospitality industry.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
