We are looking for a Director of Engineering

The Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of hotel facilities, electrical systems, kitchen equipment, emergency power systems, and other related equipment, ensuring compliance with guest service standards, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation programs.

As a Director of Engineering, you will:

• Manage departmental operations expenses and prepare annual budgets & Capex
• Ensure hotel facilities and MEP systems are in good working condition to support daily operations
• Establish and implement preventive maintenance programs to improve reliability and serviceability of hotel facilities
• Plan and implement projects to improve plant efficiency and reduce operating & maintenance costs
• Ensure systematic and cost-effective processes for operating, maintaining, and upgrading assets
• Identify hazards and safety concerns; be accountable for Fire Life Safety in the hotel
• Ensure compliance with international standards and local authority requirements
• Conduct training programs for team members in accordance with the Engineering Services Manual and Fire Life Safety Manual
• Conduct engineering and fire life safety audits
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Engineering Services Manual and Fire Life Safety Manual or as directed by the General Manager

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a degree in Engineering or relevant field
• Has a minimum of five (5) years of experience with advanced knowledge of building management/engineering in the hospitality industry
• Has hands-on experience in hotel operations, repair, and maintenance
• Has a strong understanding of building life safety systems and energy management systems
• Possesses strong leadership qualities
• Demonstrates high levels of flexibility and adaptability to change
