The District Trainer coordinates the district’s training program and support the training and development needs of the district, acting as an expert resource for district and employee-specifictraining plans.
The District Trainer also works in close collaboration with the Regional Training team to achieve training and development goalsof the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with management teams to offer the best onboarding experience to new hires, to include presenting the employee with anonboarding plan on their first day. Ensures that new hires progress through general and role-specific new hire training in a timely manner.
Implements a robust training program for the district that meets employee and district training needs. Coordinates the district’s trainingschedule, delivers District Trainer-led courses, and ensures timely record keeping of internal and external training. Assists management teamswith creating and managing employee-training plans and develops training materials to meet local training needs. Manages district compliance
with training requirements to include annually required training, NEO training, 52 hours training, OPA-required training, and dangerous goodsexpiration dates. Proficient in all learning functions of the PDC, acting as a PDC expert for the district.
Assists management teams with the mechanics of conducting 1:1s and employee performance evaluations in the PDC. Monitors timelycompletion of employee performance evaluations and 1:1s according to Expeditors and local requirements and directs managers toperformance reporting in the PDC.
Assists employees and managers with properly setting relevant professional and/or career development goals in the PDC. Actively promotesemployee growth in the district, helping to identify training and development opportunities for employees.

Qualification
• Tertiary Education
• Global logistics industry knowledge
• Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English
