What the role is:

You lead and supervise a small team to leverage data science methods and techniques to enhance MINDEF/SAF’s strategic communications.

What you will be working on:

- Supervise the derivation of data-driven insights and recommendations from the application of data science, integrated with social science insights, to study MINDEF/SAF’s audiences and defence-related issues- Supervise the translation of data into visual insights and recommendations to guide MINDEF/SAF’s strategic communications strategy, policy and planning across public and internal communications, and community engagement- Guide the team to develop and maintain the communications data architecture to support analysis and decision-makingChallenge(s)- Translating complex data and technical findings to strategic communications practitioners and decision makers- Understanding MINDEF/SAF’s organisational considerations and the intricacies of the information environment that MINDEF/SAF operates in

What we are looking for:

- Education in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Psychometrics, Operational Research or related field- At least 6 years of experience in data science, analytics or communications, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience- Technical knowledge in analysis methods, data management, programming languages and visualisation software- Strong analytical skills- Problem-solving abilities- Good presentation and communication skillsOnly shortlisted candidates will be notified.
