Mandarin Oriental, Singapore is looking for a Sales Manager, MICE to join our Sales & Marketing team.

Mandarin Oriental, Singapore is a sanctuary of luxury overlooking Marina Bay. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Sales, the Sales Manager, MICE, is responsible for managing accounts within group segments, markets, or territories to generate sales revenue for the hotel.

About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, within the Sales & Marketing Department, the Sales Manager aligns client needs with the hotel's sales and marketing strategies. This involves negotiating rates, maintaining product knowledge, and identifying market opportunities. The Sales Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Sales, MICE.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Prospecting and developing new business through calls, visits, trade shows, and research.
  2. Driving group sales and enhancing customer loyalty through account management.
  3. Understanding client needs, hotel objectives, and marketing activities.
  4. Negotiating rates for accounts.
  5. Communicating hotel benefits and maintaining product knowledge.
  6. Analyzing account fundamentals.
  7. Identifying new markets and accounts aligned with sales strategies.
  8. Meeting set targets and goals.
  9. Gathering market intelligence and tracking competition.

Qualifications and skills we seek:

  • Excellent sales, service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and customer relationship management abilities.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HMS, and Delphi.
  • Self-motivated with good problem-solving skills.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role at a luxury international hotel.
  • Diploma qualification in any discipline.
