Site QC Manager - Your future position?

As the Site QC Manager, you will plan, organize, and oversee the implementation of Quality Control programs and support daily quality control operations within a large manufacturing site.

Strategy design and execution:

• Implement tactical and operational quality control plans based on global QM strategy for QC to meet objectives.

EHS:

• Apply applicable corporate or local guidance relating to EHS in QC.
• Define EHS requirements for employees and visitors to QC.
• Ensure effective procedures are in place to enforce EHS requirements.
• Ensure the QC team is adequately trained and aware of EHS requirements.
• Perform risk assessments of safety within QC operations.

QM Compliance:

• Ensure QC functions comply with global QM requirements.
• Escalate any attempts to pressure or interfere with QC decisions that could compromise quality or independence.

Material Quality:

• Maintain harmonization of quality standards for purchased raw materials and products.
• Ensure accuracy of sensory assessments, test results, and final QC decisions.
• Maintain material standards and update as required.
• Manage batch release decisions and serve as the primary contact for material quality issues.

QC Expert:

• Assign the role to qualified personnel and provide adequate support.

Management of Material Non-Conformance:

• Provide leadership and support for material quality issues and root cause analysis.

Test Equipment, Methods & Reagents:

• Ensure calibration and maintenance of QC equipment.
• Control quality of reagents and consumables.
• Validate QC test methods.

Material Specifications:

• Maintain comprehensive, version-controlled material specifications.
• Manage sampling rules and special handling instructions.

Management of People:

• Ensure capability and competency within the QC team.
• Oversee HR processes and develop talent pipelines.
• Promote development and advancement of QC personnel.

Effectiveness & Efficiency of the QC Function:

• Maintain lead-time targets, drive process improvements, and develop KPIs.
• Ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Request CAPEX for equipment and infrastructure upgrades.

Your professional profile includes:

Academic Background

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Master's degree preferred.

Professional Experience

• 7+ years in a similar role.
• Experience in Sensory Evaluation and Analytical QC.
• 4-5 years in people management/supervision.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in English.
• Experience with laboratory systems and procedures.
• Knowledge of production methods, quality systems, and regulations.
• Understanding of sensory principles and data analysis.
