Business Function

Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank’s risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure. 

Responsibilities

The Technology Risk Manager - Risk Culture and Risk Awareness is responsible for building IT risk awareness, strengthening risk culture, and changing people's behavior for the bank. The ideal candidate will have a background in technology risk, such as IT resiliency, incident management, and IT operations, as well as experience in running campaigns, communications, content creation, and learning and development.

  • Develop and implement technology risk awareness campaigns and programs:
    • Design and execute targeted campaigns to raise awareness of specific technology risks, such as risks related to IT operations and processes and information cybersecurity.
    • Develop and distribute educational materials, such as posters, brochures, and videos, to reinforce key risk messages.
    • Organize workshops, seminars, and webinars to provide employees with in-depth knowledge of technology risks and how to mitigate them.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive risk awareness programs that align with the organization's overall risk management strategy.
  • Create and deliver risk awareness training and materials:
    • Develop interactive and engaging training modules that cover a range of technology risk topics, such as cybersecurity, data protection, and IT governance.
    • Deliver training sessions to employees at all levels of the organization, tailoring the content to their specific roles and responsibilities.
    • Create job aids, cheat sheets, and other resources to support employees in applying risk management principles in their daily work. Work with relevant colleagues such as HR and Corporate Communications to deliver content to target audiences through effective channels in the bank.
    • Stay relevant to emerging risks and trends and update training materials to ensure that they reflect the latest technology risks and trends.
  • Work with stakeholders to strengthen risk culture and share risk management best practices:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business units, to identify and address technology risks.
    • Promote a strong risk culture by encouraging employees to report issues and concerns, and by rewarding risk-aware behavior.
    • Develop reporting metrics for reporting risk culture improvements and change.
    • Develop a roadmap for enhancing technology risk culture and strategies to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Support in risk management activities related to risk committees, regulatory compliance, risk management framework and controls as well as country governance as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience with exposure to IT resiliency, incident management, or IT operations
  • Expertise in running culture change campaigns, communications, content creation, and learning and development
  • Some understanding of technology risks and trends
  • Excellent creative thinking, communication and interpersonal skills; good working knowledge of media development, survey tools.
  • Ability to work independently, think out of the box and drive initiatives
