Job Purpose:
The Quality Assurance Executive ensures full compliance with GMP, FSSC 22000, HACCP, and company policies. This role oversees food safety programs, audits, label compliance, product specifications, and documentation checks (e.g., health certificates) to guarantee quality across raw materials and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure GMP, FSSC 22000, HACCP, and other food safety policies are strictly followed.
- Develop, implement, and maintain food safety programs, including:
- Environmental Monitoring
- Pest Control Management (inspections, corrective actions, reporting)
- Raw Material & Finished Product Sampling Plans
- Lab Test Scheduling & Coordination (microbiological, chemical, physical testing)
- Product Specification
- SOPs
- Ensure the facility is audit-ready for internal, customer, and regulatory audits (FSSC 22000, BRC, FDA, etc.).
- Lead third-party and internal audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Pest Control & Sanitation Oversight:
- Schedule and oversee regular pest control inspections with approved vendors.
- Ensure pest control records are maintained and corrective actions are implemented.
- Verify that sanitation practices comply with food safety standards.
- Lab Testing & Quality Monitoring:
- Arrange and coordinate lab testing schedules for raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
- Ensure timely sample collection, testing, and documentation of results.
- Work with external labs (if applicable) and internal QC teams to prioritize testing needs.
- Quality Systems & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate quality records, test reports, and compliance documentation.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformities.
- Review, update, and implement SOPs to align with food safety standards.
- Supplier & Raw Material Management:
- Inspect, sample, and approve incoming ingredients, packaging, and chemicals.
- Manage supplier approvals, audits, and performance reviews.
- Verify raw material health certificates and invoices.
- Production & Process Control:
- Monitor in-process and finished product quality against specifications.
- Ensure processing techniques and SOPs are followed correctly.
- Identify production risks and enforce corrective measures.
- Customer & Complaint Handling:
- Investigate and resolve food safety-related complaints.
- Ensure all products meet quality and safety standards before release.
Requirements:
- Preferably 2 years of QA/QC experience in the food industry, including FSSC 22000 audit.
- Degree in Food Science and Technology.
- Familiar with FSMS and QMS implementation.
- Proficient in document preparation and records keeping.
