Job description

Associate HR Director, SEA – FMCG $185k base + bonus

Charterhouse are supporting a well-known FMCG brand in their search for an Associate HR Director. This person will need to have significant exposure to the FMCG industry.

Reporting to the Head of HR for SEA, this person will need to partner effectively with APAC HR CoE functions to ensure that C&B, HR Controlling and Talent & Capability requirements are properly identified and met within SEA affiliates.

Person will need to have strong knowledge of Southeast Asia market and be strong in talent management and development and experience of legal, tax and compliance issues.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively business partner with relevant HR and business stakeholder to provide an excellent HR service and make improvements where needed - Nurture and grow the effectiveness of the leadership and HR team.
  • Look for opportunities and make suggestions on where to automate and digitalize processes and workflows to increase the overall efficiency of the HR function.
  • Develop working effectiveness with the CoE functions and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure the regional HR team are able to business partner effectively and adjust the model where needed
  • Provide guidance to local sales leaders on the design and implementation of sales incentive schemes whilst ensuring it is aligned to internal guidelines, business needs and market competitiveness.
  • Review and develop local HR policies and practices in all SEA counties and ensure they are updated. (e.g. employee handbook including benefits, HR SOPs, processes, etc)
  • Collaborate with APAC Heads of HR for the CoE functions to ensure the SEA affiliate needs are being identified and solutions are being implemented.
  • Assist as required on CoE activities under the direction of the APAC Heads of HR for the CoE functions.
  • Ensure that cyclical HR tasks such as merit review and bonus review are implemented on time and at a high standard across the SEA affiliates.
  • Work with the Head of HR and the Talent & Capability Advisor based in Singapore to analyse SEA affiliate training needs and assist in the development solutions.
  • Work in collaboration with the Head of HR – C&B/HR Controlling to review payroll vendors across all SEA markets including tax and government related funds and payments.
