Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Research, design and develop new and/or improve industrial sensors that meet customer requirements

• Provide design support for product modifications, cost reductions, function improvements, manufacturing process improvements and other technical support activities

• Create and manage design proposals, design specifications, engineering drawings, and other required technical documents

• Perform FMEA, DFM, tolerance and other analysis prior to mass production

• Create test plan and perform mechanical verification and support product verification and validation to fulfil product requirements

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to sustain the product lifecycle including customer complaints, tooling renewal, failure analysis, etc.

• Liaising with Headquarter on the technical support and technology transfer

• Verify regulatory compliance (UL, CE, RoHS/REACH, etc.) with support from approval department

Job Requirements

• Master/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience

• Strong knowledge in design plastic moulding, metal injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication and other manufacturing technologies

• Good knowledge in mechanics, design theory, material science, inter-part bonding (plastic-to-plastic, metal-to-plastic, etc.)

• Strong 2D & 3D CAD skills, SolidWorks is preferred

• Knowledge of optics will be an added value

• Open-minded, team player, creative, self-driven and willing to acquire new skills and grow in the position
