Job description

Identify and execute initiatives to drive audit quality, digitalisation, and growth of the small and medium-sized practices (SMPs).

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Quality

  • Perform reviews for small and medium-sized audit practices (SMPs), including their quality management systems and audit engagement files under the Institute’s Quality Assurance Review Programme and Voluntary Compliance Programme
  • Drive other initiatives to enhance audit quality such as writing of technical articles and update of audit methodology

Capability Building

  • Proactively engage SMPs to understand their challenges and needs, identify opportunities for them to grow and help address industry issues
  • Identify changes in the industry, including emerging trends and technologies that will affect SMPs and execute initiatives to drive digitalisation of the firms
  • Build and enhance strategic partnerships with various stakeholders
  • Manage the virtual SMP Centre

Outreach and Awareness

  • Organise targeted networking sessions and events for SMPs
  • Organise focus group discussions to gather feedback to shape initiatives

Reporting

  • Regular reporting on project status to relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise with government agencies for grant support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Accountancy or its equivalent
  • At least 6 years of audit experience
  • Strong writing and presentation abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of management, both inside and outside ISCA
  • Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented mind with a natural ability to multi-task
  • Strong project management abilities
