  • Sembcorp Specialised Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, provides design and build services with an in-house multidisciplinary consultancy. Specializing in building, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects, we deliver innovative and efficient solutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry.

Purpose and Scope:

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, focusing on foreign worker processes including recruitment, work pass management, payroll, and benefits. Ensure HR operations are efficient, accurate, and compliant with regulations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Foreign Worker HR Administration

  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding with project managers and manpower agencies.

  • Manage work pass applications, renewals, and related documentation (e.g., medical exams, security bonds, passport extensions).

  • Maintain accurate worker records in HRIS (Darwinbox).

  • Support payroll processes including overtime, incentives, insurance, and leave tracking.

  • Ensure timely contract renewals and compliance with MOM requirements.

  • General HR Support

  • Provide ad-hoc administrative assistance to the HR team as needed.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Additional certifications in HR or related disciplines will be an advantage.

  • Relevant experience in HR administration, preferably within the construction industry preferred.

  • Experienced in foreign worker management and work pass applications would hold higher advantage.

  • Experienced in handling Payroll Tasks can be but not limited to, Workers' Claims, Workers’ Benefit, Workers Overtime, Invoice.

  • Basic/Intermediate Excel Skills, 1 year data entry experience

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • HR Knowledge and Compliance: Understand HR policies, MOM guidelines, work pass process, and employee benefits, particularly for foreign workers.

  • Attention to Detail: Managing documentation and HRIS data, ensuring compliance with legal requirements with accuracy.

  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication to effectively interact with stakeholders, with the ability to resolve pressing issues promptly.

  • Organizational Skills: Good time management, organized, able to prioritize and multitask under tight deadlines.

  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify HR process issues, providing practical solutions, with strong decision-making skills.

  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Handle sensitive employee information with high ethical standards.

  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Effective team player with a collaborative approach, supporting colleagues and adapting to new HR systems as required.
