Job Scope: Infant and Early Years Educator (2 Months to 3 Years)
Location: Tampines

About the Role:

As an Infant and Early Years Educator at Ace @ Work Educare Pte Ltd, you will play a critical role in nurturing and supporting the holistic development of children aged 2 months to 3 years. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of infants and toddlers, and building strong relationships with both the children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Infant Care (2–18 months):

  • Plan and implement responsive caregiving routines such as feeding, diapering, bathing, and nap supervision.

  • Provide safe and nurturing environments that support infants’ emotional security and physical safety.

  • Facilitate age-appropriate sensory and motor development activities that promote exploration and discovery.

  • Maintain detailed daily care logs and communicate updates to parents regarding their child’s routines and milestones.

  • Observe and monitor developmental milestones, ensuring timely feedback to parents and relevant parties.

  • Ensure health, hygiene, and safety standards are met consistently.

Toddler Care (18 months – 3 years):

  • Plan and conduct engaging learning experiences focused on language development, social interaction, and physical coordination.

  • Support toilet training routines and foster independent self-help skills (e.g., feeding, dressing).

  • Facilitate structured play and learning activities that promote exploration, creativity, and cognitive development.

  • Guide and support children in managing emotions and developing social relationships.

  • Conduct regular observations and assessments to track each child’s developmental progress.

  • Organize group activities that promote cooperation, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

General Responsibilities (Infants to 3 Years):

  • Establish and maintain positive, open communication with parents and caregivers.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective implementation of curriculum frameworks aligned with ECDA guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development, and incidents.

  • Create individualized care plans based on each child’s needs, interests, and stage of development.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, including emergency preparedness procedures.

  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences, centre events, and professional development programs.

  • Support a holistic learning environment that caters to physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualification:

    • WSQ Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC) for infant care responsibilities.

    • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) for toddlers up to 3 years old.

  • Passion for working with infants and toddlers, with a child-centric approach.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with families and colleagues.

  • Understanding of infant and toddler development, care routines, and safety protocols.

  • Ability to handle routine caregiving tasks with patience, empathy, and professionalism.

  • Knowledge of early childhood curriculum frameworks (e.g., Early Years Development Framework - EYDF).

  • First Aid certification (preferably Child First Aid certified).
