Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with children under 6 years is preferred.
  • Experience in a Reggio Emilia-inspired context is advantageous but training will be provided.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with other educators to implement best practices and respectful nurturing and care to children aged 18 months to 6 years.

  • Creating an emergent curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and aligned with our Reggio Emilia-inspired pedagogy.

  • Lead parent communications in-person and via online platforms, displaying strong communication skills and providing a nurturing, cooperative approach to parent relationships in a multicultural community.

  • Ensure a clean, safe and enriching environment for children’s explorations

  • Engage in reflective practice using planning and observation tools provided

  • Prepare documentation pieces for families and school environments, showcasing children’s learning and educator’s reflections

  • Coordinate parent events for festivals, exhibitions, field trips and parent volunteering opportunities

  • Parent events will take place termly in the evenings for celebrations and parent-teacher evenings, but these are pre-planned in the academic calendar, which runs from January to December.

Pre-Requisites:

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.

  • 3 or more years of working experience with children under 6 yrs old is preferred.

  • Training or experience working within a Reggio Emilia-inspired context will be an advantage, but training will also be provided on the job.
