Job description

Early Intervention Teacher

As an Early Intervention Teacher, you will work with children with disabilities and/or developmental delays. The position reports to the Senior Early Intervention Teacher.

Role & Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement education plans based on each child's individual needs.
  2. Prepare teaching materials and resources suitable for the child's developmental level.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the child's progress, discussing learning outcomes and adjusting goals as necessary.
  4. Collaborate closely with families and professionals through regular case reviews.

Requirements

  • Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) (SDESN) or acceptable equivalent.
  • Diploma in Special Education from the National Institute of Education (NIE).
  • Certificate in Autism from Autism Resource Centre.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children with learning disabilities, developmental delays, and/or special needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, and other behavioral challenges.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Passion to help children with special needs maximize their talents and potential.
