Key Responsibilities

• Food prep & simple cooking: wash/peel/chop, steaming/reheating, portioning meals & snacks per menu and timetable.
• Child-safe conduct: follow safeguarding rules; interact kindly with children and staff; never leave hazards unattended.
• Dietary & allergy control: follow classroom allergy lists; prevent cross‑contamination (e.g., nuts, dairy, gluten); label clearly.
• Meal service: tray/trolley setup; deliver to classrooms on time; collect returns.
• Hygiene & safety: uphold food‑safety SOPs (HACCP/temperature logs, FIFO, dating/labeling); maintain sanitised work areas, equipment and utensils.

Requirements

• Prior kitchen/pantry experience preferred (childcare/eldercare/central kitchen a plus)
• Understand allergens & cross‑contamination; meticulous with labels and logs.
• Team player, punctual, clean and organised; good communication with teachers & staff.
