What you will do:

Workplace Options is seeking a qualified Full-time EAP Clinical Counsellor to join our clinical team in Singapore. Our EAP Counsellors engage with participants via phone, video, chat, and email, demonstrating the Power of a Good Conversation—creating connections to ensure clients feel heard, supported, and cared for.

If you are a mental health provider passionate about offering emotional support with warmth and empathy to diverse populations worldwide, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide single-session telephonic and video counselling, in-the-moment support, and crisis management while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Thoroughly assess clients for appropriateness of short-term counselling.
  • Manage high-risk calls and work closely with at-risk individuals.
  • Refer clients to external resources or internal WPO services as part of our holistic approach.
  • Develop clear treatment plans collaboratively.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in our case management system.
  • Perform additional tasks as deemed appropriate by management.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • Master’s degree in counselling or related field.
  • At least two years of post-masters’ direct client contact experience or 500 hours of client contact.
  • Full membership of Singapore Psychological Society, Singapore Association for Counselling, Singapore Association of Social Workers, or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Singapore Registrar of Psychologists or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with assessments and clinical tools.
  • Knowledge of short-term counselling modalities like Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness, etc.
  • Training in crisis intervention is beneficial.
  • Passionate about supporting clients globally.
  • Culturally sensitive, with flexibility to use interpreters if needed.
  • Ability to work with clients facing substance abuse, crises, mental health symptoms, or family issues impacting performance.
  • Proficient with contact methods: phone, video, email, text, chat.
