Job summary
A leading education provider in Singapore is seeking an experienced educator to participate in assessments and develop the English as Additional Language (EAL) programme. Candidates should have a Bachelor of Education or higher, with at least 5 years of teaching experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to academic excellence. The ideal candidate will work closely with school leadership and teachers to monitor and support student progress.

Education

Job Description:
- Participate in interviews and initial assessment of prospective students with learning needs, particularly in regards to English as Additional Language, as required
- Initiate appropriate assessment and testing of children referred by Class Teachers via the Vice-Principal and/or the Principal
- Work closely with the Principal and the Vice-Principal to plan, deliver, monitor, assess and develop the EAL programme in EtonHouse
- Liaise with Class Teachers in assessing and monitoring children’s progress.
- Work closely with teachers, Vice-Principal, Principal and any specialists to develop an individual education plan if required
- Collaborate with staff in long term planning.
- Take corporate responsibility for displays throughout the school.
- Share management and delivery of assemblies.
- Offer and receive advice and guidance on issues which affect the whole school’s performance and ethos.
- Share your expertise.
- Participate in appraisal procedures and in-service training that provide personal, professional and career development.
