JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for balancing the financial objectives of different lodging products to maximize total revenues and profit associated with guest rooms. Develops and recommends sales strategies for pricing of transient, wholesale, and group segments. Maintains relationships with stakeholders, including hotel General Managers, sales leaders, franchisees, and owners.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field; 1 year experience in revenue management, sales, marketing, or related area.
  • OR 4-year bachelor's degree in the same fields; no experience required.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Analyzing and Reporting Revenue Management Data
  • Analyze data, identify problems, and propose solutions.
  • Review system data to identify trends and obstacles.
  • Generate updates on transient bookings and analyze booking patterns.
  • Maintain reservation system accuracy and check distribution channels.
  • Produce reports and presentations timely.
  • Analyze STAR data to improve strategies and develop RevPAR forecasts.
Managing Revenue Management Strategy
  • Support property leaders in sales strategy development.
  • Implement revenue tests and communicate market strategies.
  • Assist with pricing and business evaluations.
  • Optimize revenue management processes and diagnostic tools.
Building Successful Relationships
  • Communicate initiatives and market analysis to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external partners.
