Job Description:
To plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery of required Project Information Management requirements for projects. The IM&IS Lead Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day activities related to Information Management (IM) matters.
Job Accountabilities:
- Overall management and coordination of IM & IT requirements for the project.
- Responsible for digital twin and data-centric project delivery.
- Manage and develop IM and digital delivery specifications, execution plans, and procedures.
- Ensure that the entire project team understands, supports, and adheres to the project digital delivery and IM strategy.
- Ensure the quality of deliverables and the effectiveness of tools deployed in IM.
- Ensure that the progressive and final handover of documents and data are in place to effectively deliver to the project requirements.
- Interface with the company, engineering contractor, suppliers, and construction & completion teams for project IM requirements.
- Develop and maintain Data Management Plans and Procedures.
- Manage the project class library to support engineering data collection.
- Validate and check the consistency of tagging data and the progressive transfer of the "cleansed" data to the engineering data warehouse.
- Manage the Document Control Team and their work assignments.
Special requirements (tools & equipment used, external contracts, etc.):
- Experience in Aveva Engineering, Aveva Net, Aveva ISM, etc.
- Experience in database management systems, SQL development, VBA, SQL Server Reporting Services.
Other features of the job (shift or night work, travel, working conditions, etc.):
- Occasional travel to other project offices and sites.
Knowledge and skills:
- Skills in class library, tagging rules, and data definition.
- Experience in configuration and implementation of data collection, validation, integration, exchange, and reporting.
- Experience in supplier tag and data management.
Education, qualifications, and special training:
- Engineering degree in a related field.
Years of experience needed:
- Minimum 15 years, especially in oil and gas offshore projects.
Personality traits:
- Pro-active management style, ability to lead a team of data engineers, good communication skills, and sound decision-making abilities considering project risks, budgets, schedules, and quality.
Physical requirements:
- Able to visit construction sites and undertake overseas travel when required.
Other requirements:
- Capable of reviewing and managing subcontracted engineering project team execution plans, scopes, budgets, and schedules.
