About the Role:
We're looking for a skilled Voice Infrastructure Engineer to join our Asia Pacific technology team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of voice and telephony systems, ensuring robust and resilient communications across the region. You'll play a key role in delivering high-impact projects and supporting mission-critical infrastructure for our enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, deploy, and support enterprise voice solutions including Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Expressway, BT/IPC Trader Voice, voice recording systems, and mobile voice platforms.
- Monitor system health and call quality; perform proactive tuning to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Lead regional voice and network-related projects from planning to execution within set timelines and budgets.
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with industry best practices and meets internal SLAs for resilience, stability, and performance.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation including configuration standards, system diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Implement disaster recovery strategies and business continuity plans for voice infrastructure.
- Investigate and resolve complex voice issues; act as a senior escalation point for high-priority incidents.
- Oversee vendor partnerships for hardware, software, and managed services related to voice technologies.
- Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to internal teams and end-users.
- Manage lifecycle of voice platforms, ensuring updates and upgrades align with technology roadmaps.
- Support process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Work closely with global teams to maintain consistency and enforce global standards across regional infrastructure.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting voice systems in large-scale, enterprise or financial services environments.
- Proven expertise in Cisco Call Manager / Cisco Unity configuration and support.
- Experience with Trader Voice platforms (e.g. BT ITS) and voice recording technologies.
- Strong understanding of SIP, H.323, RTP, SRTP, QoS, and other VoIP-related protocols.
- Experience with SIP trunking, PSTN integration, and telecom carrier coordination.
- Familiarity with voice security standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management best practices.
- Solid project management skills and the ability to deliver under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong documentation skills and a proactive approach to infrastructure improvements.
