Job Description

Applications are invited for Research Fellow positions focused on climate change, weather extremes, and energy security assessment. This role will be based in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Developing AI-powered advanced energy capacity expansion models.
  2. Creating a novel integrated framework that incorporates climate extremes for water and energy security assessment.
  3. Collaborating with the Principal Investigator on reports and project deliverables.
  4. Co-supervising PhD students.
Job Requirements
  • A PhD degree in civil engineering, hydrology, water resources engineering, optimization, seasonal forecasting, machine learning, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in developing complex computer codes, e.g., in Python, R, or Shell scripting.
  • Ability to write and publish papers in leading research journals and conferences.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Open to fixed-term contract employment.
