A leading company in the retail sector is seeking a dynamic Sales and Marketing Manager to drive product sales, enhance supplier relationships, and implement effective marketing campaigns. The role involves managing inventory, conducting market research, and ensuring optimal showroom displays. Candidates should have strong negotiation skills and a background in sales management.
Job Responsibilities
· Grow Top and Bottom Line: support the expansion of product sales portfolio under the directive of the Management. Understand the concept of each showroom, target audience to attract and walk-ins to convert, effectively maximise sales potential through “right” buying. Work closely with retail sales team to achieve sales targets.
· B2B Relationships: Identify potential supplier sources, analyse product specification, engage in negotiation with suppliers and vendors. Explore new business and expand supply network.
· Product Knowledge: continuous learning on product knowledge, understand market trends and demands; conduct market research to identify trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive assortment.
· Product Database: from new product code creation to discontinued model or range, ensure accuracy in naming, coding, pricing and its specification. Handle price changes promptly.
· Procurement: from sourcing, negotiation, obtain production and delivery lead time to raising necessary documentation for buying internally. (Purchasing coordination between MGC and H&D.)
· Quality Issue: understand when, where and how, resolve customer complaint and supplier conflict promptly. Facilitate credit note issuance and product exchange/replacement from supplier.
· New Product Launch: organise product display into the stores with the right model, combination, package and price tag. Work with visual merchandiser to optimise aesthetic and space in showrooms.
· Inventory: stock level and aging reporting check. Perform stock inspection at retail stores and warehouse. Involve in the space planning for storage.
Marketing Campaign
· Develop and implement marketing campaign ideas for the retail stores in line with company business directive and brand identity. Review campaign performance with sell through analysis.
· Generate and analyse campaign sales reports, providing actionable insights to future buying strategies and enhance decision-making. Identify top selling product/model, customer demographics and replicate successful marketing campaign.
· Actively involved in promotional campaign creation, event sales facilitation and in brand marketing and PR activities. Work closely with creative team in delivering effective media advertising.
Sales Management
· Retail Sales Operation: conceptualise and execute sales mechanic, assortment, display and stock plan, to ensure maximum sales and profitability of related merchandises in showrooms. Support product sales enquiries for sales orders generation and fulfilment.
· Inspect showroom display and its inventory by doing velocity walk monthly.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective inventory allocation plans, including stock supply updates and adjustment based on sales performance and retail chain needs.
· Organise supplier’s product sales training session for the retail sales team.
· Online Sales: ensure stock availability and fulfilment for online orders from H&D and Ashley websites.
· Undertake any other duties assigned by the Management
