Job description

The Role:

  • Provide technical support for laboratory classes, workshops, and events.

  • Assist academic staff in supervising students and participants during activities.

  • Ensure all equipment and materials are prepared and functional prior to sessions.

  • Assist lecturers with demonstrations and conduct trial runs for practical classes.

  • Responsible for the upkeep of laboratories, including equipment preparation, maintenance, and housekeeping.

  • Perform general administrative duties, including procurement and inventory management of chemicals, assets, and consumables.

  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and coordinate with vendors for repairs of laboratory equipment.

  • Provide support during WSH and QEHS audits and inspections, ensuring all laboratories comply with QEHS and WSH guidelines.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Higher NITEC/Diploma in Applied Chemistry, Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology, or Material Science.

  • Knowledge of analytical instruments and chemistry.

  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work environment and meet the needs of various tasks.
