  • Assist Vice Dean (Research and Development) in his/her research projects
  • Conduct independent research, and write academic and policy research papers and reports
  • Compile and archive research materials
  • Manage research projects
  • Notetaking, copy-editing and proof-reading
  • Organize academic and policy-related conferences/workshops
  • Undertake administrative duties related to research projects

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree holder in a discipline within the social sciences or humanities
  • Expertise or interests in international relations, particularly of Asia, China, and Southeast Asia
  • Strong analytical ability and strong self-motivation
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to engage with research and policy communities in Asia and globally
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in Chinese is preferred for conducting literature review in Chinese.
  • A collegial and amiable personality
  • Enjoys working alone but also in a team
