Position Overview

The successful candidate will join the Cluster Application Team with oversight in the development and implementation of IT workplans for the business, i.e., Big3 cluster Governance. He/she will focus on the implementation and management of the IT Workplan, funding proposal governance, and review. The role offers exposure to a wide range of IT initiatives across the healthcare ecosystem and strategic decision-making by Senior Management. There will be opportunities to develop skills in planning, designing, and creating tools to facilitate reviews and implementation of health IT initiatives. Effective communication with a broad range of stakeholders is essential for success.

Role & Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for application support or implementation of IT Workplans, involving various stages of the SDLC.
  • Facilitate the development and documentation of user requirements and project scope for new systems or enhancements.
  • Assist in developing IT Workplan documents for procurement and awards, including approval papers and proposal review statuses, guiding stakeholders to expedite approvals.
  • Coordinate procurement processes (RFQ/RFP) with departments such as procurement and legal.
  • Assess proposals to support Senior Management’s review, ensuring key performance indicators are adequate.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration for comprehensive integration planning and implementation guidance.
  • Provide guidance on managing dependencies and system integrations, including review and approval in technical forums like the Solution Review Board.
  • Work closely with vendors during project implementation, testing, and support activities such as patches and upgrades.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to methodologies, quality assurance, and timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure vendors meet contractual obligations and service levels post-implementation.
Communication
  • Act as the key liaison with business users, providing guidance on Workplan planning and operations to optimize IT value.
  • Consult with stakeholders on IT policies and guidelines, such as the HealthTech Instruction Manual, to ensure effective implementation.
  • Guide users on IT governance processes, including approval workflows for funding proposals.
Oversight and Monitoring
  • Maintain visibility of IT Workplans regarding scope, schedule, resources, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with the PMO team to track, measure, and report progress, ensuring accountability.
  • Review and improve existing IT governance processes for efficiency without compromising quality.
Resource Management
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members and manage a team if required.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Proven track record in managing mid to large-scale projects, including user and vendor management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics for diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Versatile team player capable of working independently or collaboratively.
