Job description

The Receptionist will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service assistance for Invictus International School (Dempsey). They will provide a welcoming environment and handle essential general administrative tasks.

The Receptionist should possess a friendly disposition, be proactive, organized, and comfortable with multi-tasking.

  1. Provide front-of-house support for all school stakeholders, including appropriate first aid treatment.
  2. Process daily school correspondence, including incoming and outgoing mail, telephone calls, and emails.
  3. Follow up on student absenteeism and communicate information to staff.
  4. Handle document preparation and photocopying.
  5. Support external providers, including managing the school ECA (Extra Curricular Activities) programme administration and delivery.
  6. Collaborate with the School Secretary and SLT, liaising with the principal to maintain the school’s diary and perform related tasks.
  7. Assist Marketing and Admissions with parent inquiries over the phone and record school tour data.
  8. Respond to telephone calls and direct them to relevant staff members.
  9. Manage the visitor log.
  10. Act as a communication link between home and school, ensuring staff are aware of any communications regarding students.
  11. Receive deliveries and direct relevant receipt notes to the accounting department.
  12. Assist with ad-hoc invoices and other tasks as directed by the Finance Department, Principal, or Deputy Principal.
  13. Cover duties in the absence of the School Secretary.
  14. Perform any other tasks assigned by the School Secretary or SLT.
