Job Purpose

To lead and manage our enterprise IT infrastructure landscape. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, operations, and support of IT systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of infrastructure experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity, with deep expertise in managing complex environments and diverse teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide strategic direction and leadership for all IT infrastructure systems, including data center, cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and end-user computing.
2. Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of core systems such as VMware, SAP Basis, server OS (Windows/Linux), storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
3. Lead large-scale infrastructure operations and manage a high-performing team of engineers and support staff.
4. Drive operational excellence through proactive incident, problem, and change management in alignment with ITIL or similar frameworks.
5. Manage large vendor relationships, ensuring service delivery, contract compliance, cost-effectiveness, and strategic partnerships.
6. Develop and implement robust monitoring, security, and automation strategies for a resilient infrastructure environment.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Applications, Security, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment with business needs.
8. Lead infrastructure modernization and transformation initiatives in support of digital and cloud-first strategies.
9. Establish performance KPIs and lead regular reviews to improve system reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Minimum 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
3. Hands-on and managerial experience with enterprise systems including VMware, SAP Basis, data center operations, and server infrastructure.
4. Proven experience in managing complex IT operations and leading large, distributed technical teams.
5. Strong background in incident and problem management within mission-critical environments.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage large vendors, including performance tracking, SLA adherence, and negotiation.
7. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
8. ITIL certification or equivalent knowledge preferred.
9. Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
10. Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a proactive mindset.
