Job description

Responsibilities and duties

· Responsible for new mechanical design and existing product enhancement and verification test of equipment

· Responsible for implementation, structural analysis, modification and testing of semiconductor equipment based on overall system specifications

· Responsible for all stages in the development cycle from design proposal to production release with well recordkeeping

· Create and maintain Bills of Material; create high quality and assembly drawings; prepare assembly guidelines and requirements

· Provide expert technical support to our field engineers and customers during critical customer evaluation (occasional international travel may be required)

Requirements

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Precision Engineering

· 3-8 years of machine design experience relevant to machinery or high precision automation systems

· Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling using Solidworks with certifications such as CSWE and CSWP preferred

· Finite element analysis software experience

· Solid experience in at least two of the following areas

· structural and modal analysis

· thermal-mechanical analysis

· fluid dynamics analysis

· Full design cycle experience, from proof of concept through prototyping, development and commercial realization

· Able to research and analyse design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and requirements of designs

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Good presentation skills and report writing skills

· Strong attention to detail and organization

· Self-motivated and able to work independently

***Senior grade would be offered to the candidate with strong background or relevant working experiences
