What the role is:
As a Research Analyst/ Senior Research Analyst in the Research and Management Information Division, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to harnessing data-driven insights to advance educational practice and policy formulation in MOE. In particular, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising data analysts, psychologists, and psychometricians, who work closely on instrument/ survey design, data collection, analysis, and the generation and communication of data insights.
What you will be working on:
• Design and develop surveys and psychometric instruments to assess attitudes, perceptions and non-academic competencies and skills• Assist in data collection, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with best standards and regulatory requirements• Utilise advanced data analysis techniques and tools to extract, clean, analyse data, and identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights• Develop and maintain data visualisation solutions, including dashboards, reports, and interactive visualisations, to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders• Work closely with cross-functional teams to interpret data findings and provide actionable recommendations to inform policy and decision-making
What we are looking for:
• Training in data science, mathematics, information technology, psychometrics or a related field• A team player with strong analytical and communication skills• Ability to manage concurrent workstreams with simultaneous deadlines• Familiarity with statistical software/ programming languages such as Python, R, Mplus, would be an advantage• Experience in the end-to-end process of designing instruments, collecting, analysing and visualising data to derive actionable insights would be an advantageIn general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window.
