We are looking for anAccount Director, Sales - Group (Singapore)to join our team!

As an Account Director, Sales - Group (Singapore), we rely on you to:

  • Sell all facets of hotels in Singapore. In assigned territory, responsible for rooms, catering, food & beverage, and other revenues as set out in the hotels’ budgets.

  • Implement all sales action plans related to respective market(s) and account portfolio.

  • Proactively seek in-depth knowledge of accounts owned to understand total revenue impact on the hotels for better negotiation opportunities.

  • Maintain excellent relationships with existing accounts and solicits new business.

  • Proactively partners with Business Development team colleagues to source new business from within each assigned market and market segment, generating viable enquiries and converting business always with a view to maximize revenue for the hotels.

  • Work closely with the Business Development team in increasing share of existing accounts.

  • Promote and produce leads for other Shangri-La Hotels through the WeSell! Program.

  • As directed, conducts all sales activities including sales blitzes, tele-sales, sales calls, site inspections, entertainment, business trips (domestic and international), attendance at trade shows, and other assigned sales related activities.

  • Actively supports and executes group wide sales initiatives, e.g. Special promotions, Sales Missions, Business Development Weeks, Business Closing Week, etc.

  • Always maximizes up-selling opportunities.

  • Ensure a timely, clear, and accurate handover of every confirmed group from Sales to Event Management.

  • Work with Event Management to follow up on client feedback and comments after events. Solicits potential repeat- or new business.

  • Use appropriate systems to generate proposals at approved pricing, i.e. Amadeus Advanced (Delphi.fdc), Ideas etc.

  • Attend sales meetings and implements actions relevant to driving sales and business conversion.

  • Maintain close liaison with GSOs and STB representatives in assigned territory to solicit new accounts, action inquiries and convert business.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or Hotel Management.

  • At least five (5) years of experience in a similar capacity in an international luxury hotel group.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and guests

  • Excellent customer service skills and enjoy creating delightful moments for guests.

  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong operational leadership with a business mindset
