JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Develop and execute trade marketing plans for food products, including promotional activities, pricing strategies, and product positioning.
- Manage import and export activities to meet high customer service standards and response times.
- Handle sourcing and distribution of food products, including negotiating prices, packaging, and delivery methods.
- Follow and ensure compliance with all organic standards procedures related to cutting, preparing, displaying, and storing food products.
- Implement promotional events and marketing blitzes to promote vendor deals and meet sales goals on featured items.
- Monitor food safety requirements for storage and handling.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including food safety and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.
- Receive, examine, and record products for correctness of consignment, temperature, and quality.
- Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the impact of competitors' operations.
- Oversee the budget for trade marketing activities, ensuring efficient and effective resource use.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Develop operational systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; create processes for receiving products, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
- Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to plan daily activities.
- Check the packing of food products, ensuring correct proportions and quality of spices and powders.
- Handle day-to-day documentation for delivery and receipt of goods.
- Motivate, supervise, and train employees.
- Improve departmental and organizational work environment and operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Diploma in Business or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in B2B/B2C sales, wholesale brand consumer products, preferably in the industry.
- Experience in wholesale/retail packaging (curry and spice powders) and distribution channels.
- Monitor competitors’ pricing, product innovations, and strategies; adapt practices to stay competitive.
- Understanding of food products, storage, transportation, and cold chain logistics.
- Identify and develop new wholesale channels, including regional distributors, international markets, or online platforms.
- Possess a Class 3 driving license; vehicle is not for personal use.
- Effective communication skills with suppliers and vendors.
- Experience working in an Indian spice production facility.
- Strong network in spice procurement.
- Ability to work extra hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 40kg and withstand strong spice odors.
- Work well under pressure and in stressful situations.
- Willingness to drive and deliver goods in emergencies.
- Coordinate between employees and administration; handle stress effectively.
- Teamwork and understanding of workflow.
