What the role is:
As a Senior/Application Analyst, you will be joining a team of Digital Services Specialists within the Infotech and Digital Transformation Department to drive digitalisation in PUB. You will work in a team providing analysis, support, and maintenance of key public-facing application systems in PUB. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with external parties (e.g., vendors, public agencies) and internal stakeholders to manage, design, and develop systems that support organisational needs.
What you will be working on:
• Manage and coordinate with vendors to implement digital services systems such as websites, e-services, and the Building Plan Submission System, including conducting application testing and updates, ensuring projects are completed within budget, schedule, and compliance requirements.
• Understand PUB’s business processes and collaborate with users to review and improve these processes for better ops-tech integration, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and designing end-to-end digital solutions.
• Provide advice and assistance to users in identifying suitable digital solutions and options for integrating technical and application components to enhance service delivery and user experience.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues in the production environment, and coordinate incident response and vulnerability mitigation measures with relevant stakeholders and vendors.
• Conduct security and risk assessments to ensure security controls are effective.
• Support documentation of key workflows and the functional and technical requirements for digital services systems.
• Handle audit queries and ensure compliance with audit and security standards.
What we are looking for:
• Tertiary qualification, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development and IT project management.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of ownership, problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and a keen willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills and a team player.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Preferred experience/knowledge in Cloud, microservices architecture, container technologies, Scrum/DevOps concepts.
• Familiarity with the Government Instruction Manual on IT Management (IM8) and cybersecurity guidelines is advantageous.
