Job description

Job Description

• University and polytechnic undergraduate students having their terms break are welcome to join our Centre.
• University and polytechnic undergraduate students seeking long-term/regular part-time jobs are also welcome to join our Centre.
• "A" level holders waiting for results are welcome to join our Centre.
• Training will be provided for those without experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the main teacher in managing a class of 10-18 students.
2. Familiarity with primary school curricular content (minimum understanding) in English, Mathematics, Science, and Chinese is important; training will be provided for those without experience.
3. Supervise and guide primary school children in their homework, spelling, and Centre’s activities under the guidance of the main teacher.
4. Mark students’ work and corrections.
5. Ensure that school homework is completed.
6. Conduct evening English activities (news sharing, discovery, general knowledge) and moral education activities.
7. Assist the main teacher in conducting activities including art, craft, and outdoor activities.
8. Provide care and concern for children's well-being.
9. Manage behavioral issues or concerns with guidance from the main teacher.
10. Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and progress of each child.
11. Conduct in-house programmes and instill good habits and values in children.
12. Serve lunch and tea-break.
13. Ensure classroom discipline and safety under the guidance of the main teacher.
14. Be an inspiring role model with a creative spirit and positive mindset.
15. Be a responsible team player and colleague.
16. Build and maintain relationships with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders (not required for those without experience).
17. Assist the main teacher in preparing and maintaining teaching resources, classroom arrangement, appearance, and learning environment.
18. Help prepare daily lesson plans to engage children.
19. Be computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
20. Perform any other ad-hoc duties delegated by the Centre’s manager.

Job Details:

Job Types: Part-time, Internship, Student job

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
