Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Autonomous Navigation Engineer to develop and implement algorithms enabling robots to navigate complex, dynamic environments. This role focuses on path planning, obstacle avoidance, and docking strategies, ensuring safe and efficient interaction between autonomous robots and human collaborators.
Design and implement advanced navigation algorithms that prioritize energy efficiency, operational speed, and safety.
Develop and refine docking strategies to support fast and accurate docking operations.
Create real-time software solutions that utilize sensor data from LiDAR, cameras, and other perception systems for autonomous navigation.
Design and optimize lightweight, real-time algorithms for obstacle detection and avoidance.
Fine-tune navigation and docking algorithms based on hardware capabilities and operational requirements.
Develop and maintain software interfaces for seamless integration across different software modules and systems.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Over 3 years of industry experience in autonomous robot navigation and control.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python.
Hands-on experience with Robot Operating System (ROS).
In-depth knowledge of autonomous navigation techniques, including path planning (e.g., A*, D*, RRT) and SLAM.
Solid understanding of real-time systems, control theory, and optimization techniques.
Strong grasp of robot kinematics, dynamics, and their influence on navigation and control strategies.
Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
