Job description

What the role is:

Lecturer (Integrated & Smart Facility Management) / School of Engineering

What you will be working on:

• Conduct lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, and laboratory classes for both full-time and part-time students.
• Engage in collaborative industry projects.
• Plan, review, design, and develop course and subject materials.
• Manage projects and supervise students during their internships.
• Collaborate with industry partners to enhance students' learning experiences through local and overseas study trips, as well as alumni partnership programs.

What we are looking for:

• Qualifications in Facility Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Building Sciences, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the Facility Management sector or a sustainability consultancy firm.
• Extensive hands-on experience in the adoption and implementation of Smart Facility Management, BIM for FM, Digital Twin, Building IoT, and Data Analytics to improve productivity, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
• Strong knowledge in the operation and maintenance of key building facilities, particularly Building Management Systems, Air-Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) Systems, and Security and Surveillance systems in large industrial/commercial buildings, including hospitals, data centres, or other critical facilities.
• Valid certifications such as Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with at least 2 years of appointment in a commercial building, Autodesk Revit Certified Professional/Associate, BIM Modelling/Management, Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP), or IT/Computer Programming certifications are advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively share knowledge and interact with youth.
