An established industry player is seeking a skilled engineer to lead the development and commissioning of automated solutions. In this role, you will evaluate and recommend customized machinery to optimize production processes. You will leverage your expertise in robotics and automation to analyze operational challenges and implement effective engineering solutions. Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate, specify, recommend, develop and commission customized automated equipment and machinery to attain cost/waste reduction, quality, productivity and production modernization goals.
Justification for capital expenditure (CAPEX), conduct cost/benefit analyses and put up capital appropriation requests (CAR).
Develop Statement of Work (SOW) for proposals, machine specifications and FAT/SAT.
Analyze operational problems and develop / implement engineering solutions for existing or new processes.
Perform robotic and line control interface programming in accordance with industry and Collins Aerospace guidelines.
Conduct risk assessments, robotic system safety specifications, in accordance with Company’s EHS and industry requirements.
Utilize Company’s quality tool (CORE) to foster robust project plans, status, schedules and communications to key stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Degree in engineering or related discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics)
At least 3 years’ working experience in delivering Robotic and automated solutions.
Competent in industrial robot handling and offline robot programming software (RoboGuide, RobotStudio, Robotmaster, etc.)
In depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, and disciplines.
Proven experience in automation deployment in operations.
Experience in open-source programming languages, C++, and Python is a plus.
Knowledge of PLC/HMI programming for robot interface would be an advantage.
Lean Six Sigma or other problem-solving tool.
Able to work rotating shifts.
