Job description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, specify, recommend, develop and commission customized automated equipment and machinery to attain cost/waste reduction, quality, productivity and production modernization goals.

  • Justification for capital expenditure (CAPEX), conduct cost/benefit analyses and put up capital appropriation requests (CAR).

  • Develop Statement of Work (SOW) for proposals, machine specifications and FAT/SAT.

  • Analyze operational problems and develop / implement engineering solutions for existing or new processes.

  • Perform robotic and line control interface programming in accordance with industry and Collins Aerospace guidelines.

  • Conduct risk assessments, robotic system safety specifications, in accordance with Company’s EHS and industry requirements.

  • Utilize Company’s quality tool (CORE) to foster robust project plans, status, schedules and communications to key stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering or related discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics)

  • At least 3 years’ working experience in delivering Robotic and automated solutions.

  • Competent in industrial robot handling and offline robot programming software (RoboGuide, RobotStudio, Robotmaster, etc.)

  • In depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, and disciplines.

  • Proven experience in automation deployment in operations.

  • Experience in open-source programming languages, C++, and Python is a plus.

  • Knowledge of PLC/HMI programming for robot interface would be an advantage.

  • Lean Six Sigma or other problem-solving tool.

  • Able to work rotating shifts.
