Responsibilities:
Assist the Manager in managing and executing projects to ensure they are cost-effective, meet deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations. Participate as a team member or lead a small team by coordinating all project-related activities from definition, design, development to deployment stages.
System Design / Technical (60%)
- Design, implement, and optimize complex systems that drive technological innovations and business success.
- Ensure seamless collaboration with teams and contribute significantly to achieving company goals through efficient system integration.
- Plan and execute projects, ensuring they meet technical requirements, timelines, and budget constraints. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful outcomes.
- Analyze complex technical challenges, propose innovative solutions, and optimize system performance and functionality to overcome obstacles and ensure system efficiency.
Customers (25%)
- Manage customer interactions and expectations through regular project status updates and communication regarding their needs and requests.
- Coordinate with customers, end users, engineering consultants, certification bodies, suppliers, and principals on engineering designs, document/drawing submissions and approvals, testing, and commissioning schedules and scope.
Internal Liaison (15%)
- Work with the Service team in project execution by providing technical documents to facilitate testing, commissioning, repair, and maintenance tasks locally and overseas, on-shore and offshore.
- Advise Service Engineers on system setup and functionality during IAT and FAT stages.
- Manage tools and parts issued under your care.
- Observe and implement the company EHS policy, ensuring compliance with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Work within project deadlines, prioritizing tasks as scheduled.
- Perform site testing and commissioning as required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by your immediate superior.
Requirements:
- Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Technical knowledge in one of the following areas:
Position 1: Radio Communication
- GMDSS, Microwave Radio System, SCADA Radio, Trunked Radio System, Crane Radio System, Radio Dispatch System, Satellite Telephone.
Position 2: Security
- Access Control System, CCTV System, Intrusion Detection System, PABX (VoIP), Person On Board (POB).
Position 3: Navigation Aid
- Radar System, ECDIS, Auto Pilot, AIS, DGPS, LRIT, Magnetic Compass, Gyrocompass, Echo Sounder, Speed Log, Voyage Data Recorder, Sound Reception System, Navigation Light, Obstruction Light, RACON System, Fog Horn, Air Whistle, BNWAS, VSAT, Entertainment System, Environmental Monitoring System.
Position 4: Wired Communication
- PAGA, Page Party System, Smart Series, Driller, Talk Back System, PABX (Analog), Sound Powered Telephone System.
Additional qualifications:
- 1 to 4 years of experience in marine, shipyard, petrochemical, power plant, oil & gas, or similar industries, with experience as a Lead Project Engineer.
- Ability to lead a team of project engineers to meet project schedules, costs, and customer expectations.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to coordinate with various departments to achieve company goals.
- Good project management and execution skills.
