An established industry player is seeking a proactive Procurement Specialist to enhance their supply chain operations. This role involves identifying alternative suppliers, negotiating costs, and managing contracts to ensure quality and compliance. Responsibilities
Supplier Diversification and Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and develop alternative suppliers to reduce supply chain vulnerabilities upon receiving internal RFQs.
Cost Optimization: Negotiate favorable pricing and minimize cost increases while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Contract Management: Review and negotiate quotation and contract terms to secure the best interests of the company.
Supply Chain Issue Resolution: Address and resolve supply-related issues, including cargo damage, shipment delays/early arrivals, and payment discrepancies with the Accounting Department.
Supplier Performance Management: Conduct regular supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure adherence to company regulations.
Contract Drafting and Negotiation Support: Draft and refine contracts for manager approval, as needed.
Procurement Operations: Process daily purchase orders, follow up on confirmations, manage order amendments, coordinate specification/drawing changes, and ensure compliance with purchasing protocols.
Reporting and Ad-Hoc Tasks: Prepare summary reports and fulfill other assigned tasks as required.
Requirements
2 years of working experience in purchasing functions
Experience in manufacturing sector will be an added advantage
Experience in SAP will be an added advantage
Experience in agreement/contract drafting process
